Does anyone know anything about Golden Key? They've issued me an invitation to join and are a very international organization with some great scholarships. But I'm not sure I'm going to bother...not to mention pay the joining fee.
If their scholarship money could be used for your Israel trip, it might be worth the membership fee to explore. Is it aimed at freshmen or all classes? It seems mighty early on in your college career to be invited to join such a thing. granna
I asked Marjorie Kostelnik, a dean at U. of Nebraska and she replied: Golden Key is actually a rather exclusive honorary. We had a chapter at MSU and we have it at UNL. Many honorary societies are not too important. Golden Key is different - it has a good national reputation. Although you don't necessarily do much with it - it does represent an 'honor' in being selected.
I am planning on it. The site won't take my credit card for some reason...but I can mail in information or just try again later. (No idea why the site rejected my card. I put enough money on the account, yes.)
I'll be posting quite a bit; please check back often and comment! Anybody can comment, you don't need to have a Gmail account or anything. But please do "sign" your comment so I know who is telling me what! Enjoy - I look forward to your feedback!

They've been around a long time. That's about all I know about them.

It's actually only for sophomores-seniors. But I technically apply...

Unless it's horrifically expensive to join, this sounds like a decent idea for you...
