Welcome to Spring

Spring on MSU’s campus is a beautiful thing. The flowers come into bloom, there are pretty tulip fields everywhere, laughter rings through the streets. Unfortunately, spring is also the time when other people realize that biking is the world’s best way to travel. And so bikers are everywhere. Taking up my bike-parking spaces. Getting in my way. And generally being…there. Give me my parking spaces back! Meanies.

What kind of tulips are they growing up there ? I have some early bloomers and they're not even in bud yet ? Snowdrops opened up 3 weeks ago and crocuses shortly thereafter, although they've been having trouble staying open because of the lack of sun. This week we've got daffodils and eranthis and pink glory of the snow. The blue ones are fully budded but haven't had the guts to open yet.Maybe the tulips up there are over a heat source--find out what variety they are. I'd like to get some. Uncle Al

They're not up yet! Just on their way. They'll be gorgeous when they finally crop up, though. Flowers are coming up in front of the condo, though no actual color yet.

So now you understand your father's horrible comments about other drivers. It's not that they're bad drivers, it's just that they're THERE. Where *I* want to be. Hmmph.

(Or - wait - maybe you posted this because you grew up with your father driving? Oh dear. The sins of the fathers are visited upon the children...)
