I apologize for being partisan (again), but this is a fairly established fact.
There have been tons of student groups getting people to register to vote. One of these groups, however, gathered around two hundred registrations claiming to be pro-Obama. The paperwork was then "lost," and people who registered with them didn't find out about it until the deadline had passed. And I'm sorry, but that's disgusting. It would be disgusting if it were the other way around too.

Ouch. That's a load of crap. I assume no one's doing anything about it?
There's not really anything to be done...it's hard to hold the "volunteers" legally responsible for it, and the registration deadline isn't going to be extended "just" for that.
