While I am learning words like "church" and "university," Lena (who lives across the hall) is learning phrases from her TAs. Such phrases include (I do not know the Chinese for these phrases, I only know that Lena can say them):
"That is a really sexy girl."
"I want to drink beer really bad right now."
"You're not my type."
Thank you, teaching assistants. May I just say, not only is Arabic a better language (by which I mean I like it more), I'm learning better and more useful (at least for my life) things in the class.
