Religious Studies is bringing in Andrew Newberg, M.D tomorrow, who will speak on
"God and the Brain: Where Do Science and Religion Meet?"
The leading specialist in the intersection of neuroscience and religion, Dr. Andrew Newberg will give a dynamic, illustrated talk on his pioneering work in radiology, studying the effects of meditation and religious practices on the brain and on health. Dr. Newberg's presentation will introduce the cutting-edge intersection of science and religion today.
Sponsored by the Department of Religious Studies, the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Human Medicine, Undergraduate Education, the Office of the Provost, ASMSU, Lyman Briggs College, and the Honors College.
I am honored to go to dinner with him tomorrow as part of the Interfaith Council's Religious Awareness Week (the real "week" is next week, but we're counting this as a special preliminary event and helping to fund. Should be really interesting!).
