Good heavens!

They really think it's gonna be bad, folks:
MSU suspends classes Feb. 2

According to the National Weather Service, a blizzard warning is in effect for mid-Michigan from 5 p.m. Feb. 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 2. The warning calls for 10 to 16 inches of snow, dangerous winds and frigid temperatures.

The university has been carefully monitoring the forecasts of severe weather, and has determined for the safety of our students to suspend all classes scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 2. All academic buildings will be closed to students on Wednesday.

As under other circumstances, faculty members have a responsibility for making suitable arrangements regarding missed class meetings. When classes resume students are expected to work with their instructors to determine how lost classroom time or significant course work will be made up.

An announcement for all MSU employees about general university operations will be coming soon.

I'm thinking stay home safe is a fine plan, myself.
Get some wood in for a fire, if needed.
It's going to be ugly...unless it isn't too bad. :)

We are pretty well buried - especially if one looks out my lower level windows and sees nothing but huge piles of snow that has drifted in. There is also a lot of snow trapped between windows and screens.
