Amazon.com is now giving out $5 worth of Digital movies every time you purchase a blu-ray or DVD from them. Thanks to Christmas shopping, I am now the happy owner of "1776" on my laptop (which can also go on my iPod and be listened to while I am running or biking).
My roommates are going to hate me...or at least this movie.

This is a well done version of the original. I've always liked John Cullom who starred in "Northern Exposure" and in "Shenandoah" and "On a Clear Day" on Broadway. He also played Sir Dinadan in "Camelot" and filled in for Burton when he couldn't make it.Cullom plays John Rutledge in 1776 although he didn't do it on Broadway. The sequel, "1778", has a great script. But Congress' performance of it yesterday was really really lame.
Oh, Lordy -
That was so disturbing - reading the CONSTITUTION like it was a junior high production. Actually, I think a junior high would have done a better presentation.

Actually, I believe the sequel was "1787" , but that was still a bon mot. Since the last congress tended to ignore the constitution, I thought reading it was a good idea to familiarize the members with it.Uncle Al
