MLK Events

It's MLK Weekend! And that means lots of wonderful events celebrating issues of justice, diversity, and inclusion around campus.
Saturday: MLK Student Leadership Conference; Showtyme (a multicultural talent show)
Sunday: Jazz Concerts (featuring a suite in honor of JFK and an arrangement of "Rhapsody in Blue")
Monday: Into the Streets (community service); Commemorative March; special exhibit at the MSU Museum with a speech choir; Community Dinner; Panel on what MLK would say to the Occupy Wall Street movement; and much more!

I'm co-chairing the Conference; Saturday will be a busy day.
I wrote and am organizing the speech choir for Monday.
I'm on the panel Monday night. (I could not tell you why.)

Next Thursday, the Honors College is hosting a conversation on MLK, Malcolm X, and Gandhi; Act for Justice (of which I am president) is presenting on Gandhi.
